All today’s layouts were made with “Outta This World” By Sunny Kohler
My Bedroom Is Outta This World
The layout above shows some of the mural I painted in the room DD and DS shared. (I can’t find the other pictures but I also put planets and glow in the dark constellations on the ceiling.) We have moved to a bigger house since then :0( But now every one has their own room and we have been having fun painting new things :0) This mural was actually a very big selling point of that house. The first day we had it on the market a family came by and loved all the murals and faux painting I did, made an offer that day :0)

Teach Them The True Meaning Of Christmas
October 24, 2008, 1:20 p

Faith Sisters has a really cool 9 week long challenge going on right now called “Teach the children the True Meaning Of Christmas”. We are doing challenges based on the story by an unknown author. Each week we will take the different symbols from the story and do pages with them. At the end of nine weeks, you will have a beautiful book that will be treasured for years to come.

The kits I have used today are week one and week two challenge props by Karma.

I realize they are a little hard to read, I am planning on making my book 5×7 so that I can print 2 pages on one paper. This will make a wonderful Christmas gift and I plan on making a lot! For the teachers at my son’s school, for my day care families, for friends, for neighbors, for family :0)

I will probably tie my heavy card stock pages together with pretty ribbons for the binding. The first layout shown below will be my cover. Followed by pages on and two.

Here is what pages one and two say:
Late one Christmas Eve, I sank back, tired but content, into my easy chair. The kids were in bed, the gifts were wrapped, the milk and cookies waited by the fireplace for Santa. As I sat back admiring the tree with its decorations, I couldn’t help feeling that something important was missing. It wasn’t long before the tiny twinkling tree lights lulled me to sleep.

I don’t know how long I slept, but all of a sudden I knew that I wasn’t alone. I opened my eyes, and you can imagine my surprise when I saw Santa Claus himself standing next to my Christmas tree. He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot just as the poem described him, but he was not the “jolly old elf” of Christmas legend. The man who stood before me looked sad and disappointed, and there were tears in his eyes.

“Santa, what’s wrong?” I asked, “Why are you crying?”

“It’s the children,” Santa replied sadly. But Santa, the children  love you,” I said. “Oh, I know they love me, and they love the gifts I bring them,”  Santa said, “but the children of today seem to have somehow missed out on the true spirit of Christmas. It’s not their fault. It’s just that the adults, many of them not having been taught themselves, have forgotten to teach the children.”

“Teach them what?” I asked.

Santa’s kind old face became soft, more gentle. His eyes began to shine with something more than tears. He spoke softly. “Teach the children the true meaning of Christmas. Teach them that the part of Christmas we can see, hear, and touch is much more than meets the eye. Teach them the symbolism behind the customs and traditions of Christmas which we now observe.

Teach them what it is they truly represent.”

PAGE 2

Santa reached into his bag and pulled out a tiny Christmas tree and set it on my mantle. “Teach them about the Christmas tree. Green is the second color of Christmas. The stately evergreen, with its unchanging color, represents the hope of eternal life in Jesus. Its needles point heavenward as a reminder that mankind’s thoughts should turn heavenward as well.”

Got Boys? Enjoy camping? Play outdoors? Then Snips and Snails is the perfect kit for you! I just LOVE everything about this kit. So many digital kits today are often girly. Snips and Snails is wonderfully masculine, yet versatile enough to work in girl layouts as well!

I made the below layout of my son on a rope swing for  the “Pimp This Page” Challenge at Elemental Scraps AND The “Grab Bag” Challenge at Gotta Pixel

I made the below layout of DD’s friends with Love This also by Pamela Donnis. Where “Snips and Snails” is totally masculain, “Love This” tips the girly end of the scale. Layout made for the “It’s Elementary” Challenge at Elemental Scraps, they give you a Quick Page you “make it yours”

Starting a puppy Scrapbook!
October 20, 2008, 8:19 p
Filed under: Creativley Obsessed Designs, Faith Sisters

I have decided to make my son a “My Puppy” album for Christmas. These photos are of DS and/or his puppy. Kit is My Baby Girl by Kreative Karma In every layout EXCEPT Lil’ Freckle Tum, I used templates from  “Express Yourself” or “Triple Trouble” by JZDesigns .

Photos of my son’s fur baby, Roofus. Her nicknames is “Sweet Pea”. It started out as “Princess and the Pea”, because her sleeping area has to be just so. She will spend a lot of time dragging things into piles, fluffing items, etc. But Princess and the Pea was too hard to say, so “Sweet Pea” it is :0)

My Baby Girl” by Kreative Karma is CUTE AS CAN BE! The prefect kit for your little Sweet Pea :0) LOVE the soft textures of the fuzzy alpha and the modern green, pink and brown color mixture. Not too bright, not too soft, this kit is just right 0

My Baby Girl - The Full Kit

OH! Since it has been a few days since I gave out a freebie, here is a template for you. I posted this template’s layout in a recent Faith Sisters Thread. If you downloaded my Humble Word Art, it will layer on top of this template nicely. Just as an overlay would. :0)

In case you did not see it, this is a copy of the previous layout mentioned. To snag this word art, please go to my previous Faith Sister’s posting containing this layout :0)
