There is still plenty of time to join in The 12 Days of Christmas Faithbooking Challenge at Faith Sisters!

This year, our theme is “The 12 Days of Christmas”. We’ve all heard this song growing up, but we might have never realized that each verse of the song also had a Biblical meaning. So, over the next few weeks, we will be exploring the Biblical meanings of each verse of the song and you are to create a layout which shows what it means to you. Each week you will be presented with the traditional verse, it’s Biblical meaning, and a FREE mini kit that you can use to create your layout. You are not required to use the kit, but it’s being made available to you as a free gift. After the 12 weeks is over, you should have a beautiful reminder that you can share with your family every Christmas as to what the Biblical meanings are for “The 12 Days of Christmas”!
I plan to use mine to make a 12 days of Christmas mini book tree ornament to give as gifts. Stop back later to get your free book template!

Had a few more layouts to make of my daughter’s day hike. I used Whoa! Love My Tractor BIG kit Designed by: Meredith Cardall. This kit is PERFECT for all of your outdoor photos, St. Patrick’s Day photos as well as your anyday photos!

The first layout was made for the October By The Numbers Challenge at Gotta Pixel.

Journaling says: Hanna was an exchange student from Germany and was very excited to learn all that she could about the United States and Texas. While most of our friends took her downtown and showed her the city, I decided to show her the true, natural, beauty of my country. So, Tori, Hanna, and I set off for Inks lake in Burnet. We spent the day hiking at Devil’s Waterhole, Geo-cashing of Vulture Peak, and having a picnic at the lakeside

Jounaling says: We were freezing the entire time, although Hanna seemed pretty comfortable. We talked about the cultural differences between the US and Germany and about the presidential election. Hanna was astounded by the magnitude of it and said it was something she would never forget and would tell her grandchildren about. Afterwards, we visited Longhorn Caverns. Hanna had never even seen a cave, let alone walked in a whole network of them and was amazed at it all.

Now for your Free gift! I made you a Nine Photo Template based on the layout I created below.

To make today’s layouts I used Whoa! Love My Tractor BIG kit Designed by: Meredith Cardall. Bright, fun, a little bit dirty, this kit is PERFECT for all of your outdoor photos, St. Patrick’s Day photos as well as your anyday photos!

When I saw the cute little tractor in this kit. I just had to get it. One of my sweet little daycare kids just loves the ride on tractor. I could not resist making a couple layouts of him.

Then because this kit is so perfect for outdoor photos, I made this layout of my daughter and her friends on a hike. Layout made for the October 15th Designer Challenge at Faith Sisters. Template is a free challenge prop provided by Jennifer Eldridge. Fonts are Segoe Script and Troutkings BTN

Bat Watching!

Are you ready for the playful spirit of Halloween this year?  Spooks by Sweet Tomatoe Designs is a sophisticated kit full of glamorous papers and unique elements that are neither too cute nor too creepy, with just enough spook to create an air of mystery about your pages.

Here is a layout I made with this fun kit. Special thanks to Sweet Tomatoe for allowing me to make this layout into a FREE QUICK PAGE for you. If you download, please leave a comment I LOVE to hear from you.

Bat Watching

One of the most amazing sights in Austin
is when 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed
bats emerge from their roosts under the
Congress Avenue Bridge. The bats
arrive at the bridge in mid-March and
return to Mexico in early November.
While in residence, they astonish visitors
with their spectacular emergence display
at dusk. The bats provide a valuable
service to the Austin community by
consuming between 10,000 to 30,000
pounds of insects nightly!

Journaling taken from the Bat Conservation International website.

and those who bless you be blessed. Genesis 27:28-29

I am thrilled to announce that I have joined the creative team of Sweet Tomatoe Scraps! Cara is a WONDERFUL artist that is all about high quality designs. I just KNOW you will love her work as much as I do :0)

First I want to share a layout I made to go on Cara’s blog, introducing the CT members.  I made this layout with Ordinary Moments. A not so ordinary kit, based upon the mission of Project 365. This timeless kit has plenty of frames, masks, and journaling bits to highlight the ordinary moments that make up your extraordinary life.  The soothing colors work with any theme, season, or time frame and the pieces are so versatile that you’ll find yourself using them time and time again.

CTPageFS

I made the next two layouts with Lil’ Buckaroo Papers and Elements . This worn, playful kit has a little of something for everyone, from heart-tugging word art to tattered frames.  It’s perfect to dress up those lil’ cowpoke pages or to document your family vacations!

LilBuck_1

The layout above is of one of my adorable daycare kids playing on his favorite toy of the day. I made this layout for Cara’s Humpty Dumpty October Challenge at Faith Sisters. She has provided the template below as a FREE prop for this challenge. I know what you’re thinking, “That looks like the world’s worst template EVER”, but hopefully I’ve peaked your interest and you’ll swing by the October Humpty Dumpty Challenge  and see what this crazy template is all about.  One randomly chosen lucky contestant will win a $5 gift certificate to The Sweet Tomatoe Scraps store at Faith Sisters

This next layout was made with Sweet Tomatoes Project 365 Templates – Bundle 1. Perfect not only for Project 365ers but anyone who loves to include multiple photos on one page.
